This year they took place from 9th to 12th September and were sponsored by Absolute Windows.

 

Players were welcomed by the organiser Ken McBride and Club Captain Dennis King.

There was a moderate entry as a lot of players had not returned from the U.K.

We had some very good bowling with some unexpected wins and as usual some very disappointedlosers. The final was played on the Friday afternoon between Diana Johnston & Allan Bates and Roy Wilkins & Barry Pemberton.

The match was extremely good with both teams playing some excellent shots, but there can only be onewinner and eventually the team of Roy Wilkins and Barry Pemberton beat Diana Johnson and Allan Bates, although judging by the smile on Diana’s face it was hard to tell who had won.

The prizes were supposed to be presented by Debbie of Absolute Windows, but, due to an emergency she could not attend.   

Instead the Prizes were presented by Club Captain Dennis King.
