The Opening ceremony of the Andalucian Championships took place at Benavista Bowling Club on Tuesday 29th January   Tony Winterton Provincial Delegate for the Andalucian Lawn Bowling Federation, welcomed all the players in the 2008 championship which included clubs from Almeria, Cabrera, Indalo, Isla Canela who play every away game in Portugal, Belplaya, Benamadena, Los Amigos, Mijas, Santa Maria, Superbowl and last but not least Benavista.

          Tony Farmer said Benavista were very proud to share the competition with Superbowl and officially handed over the green to the federation for the duration of the event. We then had a finger buffet and drinks provided by Hughie Holgate, his business partner Trevor and the staff of Benavista Bowls Club.
